“The Game Show Reviewer” – Episode 15 – “Double Dare”

  • Episode Production Code: (E115)
  • Original Blip Airdate: May 11th, 2014
  • Remaster Re-Release: February 11th, 2017

Description:

I like to consider Episodes 13, 14, and 15 the “Nickelodeon Trilogy”. Congrats for making it this far!  The conclusion of the Nickelodeon Trilogy, and there’s seriously only 1 show that can cap it off. Still on the run from Cmdr. Stormer, the Reviewer tries desperately to give the legendary ‘Double Dare’ and the US incarnations a review worthy of such a show, before being forced to retreat once again!

NOTE: This is a new edit of this episode.  The original edit was copyright claimed and blocked by Viacom.  Here’s some of the changes made to conform more to Fair Use standards…and also changes I just felt needed to be made.

  • All clips have been reduced in length to under 15 seconds
  • Some brief sections have been removed for pacing and timing reasons.
  • All background music (except for the Double Dare cues) has been replaced with new, purchased royalty free tracks
  • Features the all-new 100% original “Game Show Reviewer” theme song in opening and ending credits
  • Scrabble promo has been removed
  • Ending Credits completely redone to conform to how they will appear now.

  1. Hi, It’s Stephen. I love watching Game Shows that you have reviewed. But, I love watching Non-Game Shows like Barney. And that reminds me, Can you review some Barney VHS releases from the 2nd generation (with the opening and closing previews)? Also, Barney’s Great Adventure and some VHS comparisons ranging from Barney’s Imagination Island (1994 VHS vs. 1999 VHS) to Barney’s Sense-Sational Day (1997 VHS vs. 1999 VHS)? Well, It’s all part of your Storyline. Also, Scrabble. Now. Thanks. -Stephen

  2. Hi. I love watching your show all the while reviewing Game Shows. But I would like you to review Scrabble and Maybe some Barney VHS releases from the 2nd Generation with a little information on the opening and closing previews? Also, Barney’s Great Adventure and Some Barney VHS Comparisons ranging from Barney’s Imagination Island (1994 and 1999 VHS releases with Previews) to Barney’s Sense-Sational Day (1997 and 1999 VHS releases with Previews)? It’s all part of your Storyline and you’re STILL trying to get back to the year 2260. Well, I’ll wrote those scripts soon. Thanks. -Stephen

  3. Here’s a tip, if you still have the original video of Double Dare in your PC, laptop or external hard drive, how about uploading it to either Vimeo or Dailymotion since they are much safer. Your choice.
